So last saturday on the 21st of May, Ettusais had a makeover challenge, Co sponsored by Panansonic and Cleo. Well the thing is that I have never been to one of these makeover challenge, let alone participated in any public competition. These events seem to interest me but it is difficult to find people who would participate with me.However, this round, things seems different.
It all started back about a week ago , when I saw the advertorial post by Holly Jean, I thought that this event was pretty manageable, so maybe I should join in the name of fun. The next step was to decide who to call. I wanted to call Si Ying, because she studied in beauty school so I thought she could do a good job, but I knew she would not be free on a Saturday because of church. The next person I approach was Jean, who had professional training in make up. Jean agreed to the thing quickly, but our worry was for a model.
The both of us called many of our friends and ask, sadly we were all turn down. Jean and I were almost about to give up and forget about entering the competition, when Hui Le suggested his friend Phyllis. I knew Phyllis through Hui Le's clique outting and she was really into make up and fashion. So I just asked her, she agreed quickly and our team was formed.
After that, being silly me, I assume the theme was Parisian Chic, So Jean got inspiration from Gossip Girl's latest season( because they are filming in Paris). We took Blake Lively's look as our inspiration, twisted it into a versatile outfit and added a splash of colour onto it.

So after all the discussing about our " assigned" theme during Thursday and Friday. Saturday was finally here. Jean and I met at Somerset Control Station after that we met Phyllis at the Office of Ettusais. So we had to register our team and have a team name, we did even think of a team name before this , so Jean came up with Ooh La La, but she forgot one O , so our name end up as Oh La La.Oh and there were 13 teams for this event. After that we were sent to this waiting room. there we snap some before photos.
Thats me and Phyllis before the makeover, Pardon my look, I have a very bad photo day and I did not have any make up on.

So after that we were brief of the rules and we were moved to the make over room. Each table has approximately two teams, some had three teams, so we had to share the make up. So discuss about the presentation of ideas and what shade of make up to use. The good thing is that Phyllis uses Ettusais , so we did not spend too much time finding her shade of foundation.
Soon, we got to work, I helped a little with the makeup.
After all the make up , I did the hair. It was really fun to do hair because Panasonic is just such a darling,I use the Panasonic Multi styling straightener EH-HW51 to curl her hair and I must admit it is just so much more easier to use than a curling tong. Firstly we a Straightening tong ensures that every portion of the hair that has to be curl will be heated up. Unlike a curling tong when if you roll too much hair over, it will not curl everything. Secondly, Panasonic provide attachments onto the straightening tong, to give the effects of voluminous hair, big curls and even super straight hair. The attachments are just so fun to use and after using the Straightening tong, I decided that I would use a straightening tong to curl my hair instead.
Once an hour was up, We had to present our theme and ideas , all of us took turns talking about our parts and what kind of image we wanted to present. After the presentation, we had a mini photo taking with the photo booth. The photo was really bad for me, so I shall not post it up here.
After the Make over Challenge
When the judges announce the winners, we were shocked that we won, because frankly I would never imagine myself winning such a event. The funny thing was that Ooh La La mean surprise in French so I guess this was really a good surprise. Also it was all of our first time, so it was really unexpected. Overall I was really happy with our team and even if we did not win, I would have enjoy the event really well.

Oh and I manage to catch a photo with my favourite blogger Holly Jean. She is really a cool lady. Both Phyllis and Jean know I am a big fan of hers.
So after the event, We decided , what better way to celebrate than to parade around orchard road with me hugging the prize haha. We finally settle down at mos burger and the feeling of winning finally seeped in. Well here are some pictures to prove how ecstatic we were, well I mean I was.

We open up the Present and I must say that Ettusais is so thoughtful to pack each different product in 3, so it would be easier to split three way.
See they are so awesome, everything is in three, even the bag.
Oh and I decided to be funny by coping the ribbon and tying it to my hair. This is under the just for laughs section.

Anyway the day was really s blast and my whole team totally enjoyed it. Somehow I wanna thank god for making all this possible because everything just fell into place. A big thanks to Ettusais f0r allowing us to get creative by hosting a makeover challenge. A big thanks to Panasonic for having a really awesome Multi Hair Straightener EH-HW51 and they gave us free tooth brush. Also to Cleo for sponsoring this event. Overall everyone went home happy, with big BIG SMILES .

Ok people. I have been really busy with work and writing a new story. I need a cover for my story so as to entice people to read it. I think my story is too factual and not much emotions. Anyway I am bored and I am into uploading my work on the blog. So i guess I will upload some photos.
This is me at BFF ( Best fries forever). I had it with shelveen after our SMU open house. We tried the conventional cheese fries and it was awesome. So go try other favours which would be even better. BFF can be found at orchard cinelesiure basement, near frolick.
This was taken during Hui le's birthday, We went to try this Italian restaurant called Bruno Pizza bar. It has this pizza that has like vegetable on top, well that is their signature dish, so we gave it a shot. I am not too use to having veggies on top of my pizza , but it was a good change for that moment.
Now I am too tired to continue. I guess I just have to think of new stuff to blog about.
